Ukraine: Tyson Fury praises Klitschko brothers & Oleksandr Usyk
World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has said he’ll be first in line to fight if England declare war on Russia.
When asked by a reporter about his views on three Ukrainian boxers heading to fight, the Gyspy King said: “It’s fantastic. I’ll be the first one to join up if England or America get involved.
“I’ll be first in line, my dad will as well and all the boys. We’ll be signing up to defend.”
Retired Ukrainian boxers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko are both in the Kyiv, defending the European capital. Fury beat Wladimir for his first world title, and his older brother Vitali is now the mayor of Kyiv.
Fellow heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk, who beat Anthony Joshua last year, has also headed back to his native country to take up arms along with Vasiliy Lomachenko.
Fury continued: “It’s fantastic. If you’re from that country and live there, defend her. Love your woman and fight for your country.”
