Ukraine hopes to expand the Israeli initiative for the treatment and prosthetics of Ukrainian defenders, - Embassy

Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Korniychuk visited the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashome, where Ukrainian servicemen Oleksandr and Danylo, who were seriously injured as a result of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, are undergoing treatment and prosthetics. This is reported on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel.

«The ambassador met with the Ukrainian defenders, their treating doctors, the management of the medical center. Yevhen Korniychuk expressed his gratitude to the Government of the State of Israel, in particular to the Minister of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the decision to finance and treat wounded Ukrainian soldiers in Israel», - the message reads.

The Embassy also notes that the course will cover a total of 20 Ukrainian defenders.

«We sincerely believe that this is only the first step, because among our guys who are protecting Ukraine from enemy invasion, unfortunately there are still many who need and will need complex medical care. We hope that the Government of Israel will be able to expand this extremely important humanitarian initiative», - the diplomatic mission emphasized.
