UFC star Ilia Topuria continues to mock Paddy Pimblett

UFC star Ilia Topuria continues to go after rival Paddy Pimblett on social media as talk of a fight between them grows.

Heading into UFC London earlier this month, Ilia Topuria had already made a name for himself as one to watch at featherweight. However, in the capital, he was hoping to make an impact in a different division as he shifted up to 155 pounds to take on Jai Herbert.

Despite being dropped early on with a head kick, Topuria managed to rally and secured an insane knockout finish in the second round that quite literally took ‘The Black Country Banger’ off his feet.

In his post-fight interview he proceeded to call out Paddy Pimblett, a man who he’s had quite the history with already.

A few hours later ‘The Baddy’ was also featured on the main card at the O2 Arena when he battled Kazula Vargas. In the midst of a tough opening minute in which Vargas seemed to land a nice shot on Pimblett, Topuria was seen watching on and laughing backstage. Eventually, though, the Liverpudlian turned things around and got the submission win that now takes him to 2-0 in the UFC.

Topuria, who has been weighing up his options between 145 and 155, opted to send a pretty clear message to Paddy last night on Twitter.

“Paddy the baddy I’m your DADDY hahahha @theufcbaddy”

Given what we know about both men, it’s hard to imagine this being the end of their rivalry.

The story goes that over a year ago, a Twitter exchange led to Pimblett questioning the stupidity of a few Georgian users that were having a back and forth with him. He then said “no wonder the Russians terrorise their lives” which drew a strong reaction from Topuria, who is of Georgian descent and lived there for many years as a child.

When UFC London fight week arrived, Topuria
