UFC 278 Fight Card: Usman and Aldo competing

The main event of UFC 278 is set to be massive with Kamaru Usman defending his UFC Welterweight title against Leon Edwards, but now the rest of the fight card for this potentially epic PPV event has also been revealed.

There were a number of high-profile contests revealed for the fight night in August 2022, including the octagon return of Featherweight great Jose Aldo.

The undercard for the event appears to be shaping up nicely, and there may well even be some more big-time fights down the line.

Here is everything you need to know about the scheduled UFC 278 fight card, including the main event between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards.

Here is the currently scheduled fight card for UFC 278 as revealed on the official UFC website (correct as of 21st June 2022):

The actual breakdown of Early Prelims, Prelims and Main Card has not as of yet been confirmed by the company, but we’re expecting this to be revealed in the following weeks ahead of the fight night on Saturday, August 20th 2022.

What we do know, is that Usman vs Edwards will be headlining the PPV card, and this highly-anticipated rematch between two of the best 170-pounders going could be one of the best contests of the year.

British hopeful Edwards will hope to be added to the list of UK and Irish-based Champions, which includes Michael Bisping and Conor McGregor.

This card is subject to change at any time ahead of the fight night due to injury, weight limits being missed or otherwise.
