UCD v Cork City off due to unplayable pitch at UCD Bowl and orange weather warning

The basement battle between UCD and Cork City fixed for 7.45pm this evening is off.

The inclement weather in the wake of Storm Babet continues to cause havoc, with the combination of an orange weather warning for Dublin and an unplayable pitch at the UCD Bowl causing the cancellation of tonight's SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division clash.

A statement from the League of Ireland says details of a refixture will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile a pitch inspection is due at Tallaght Stadium at 2pm for the Premier Division tie between Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United, while an inspection will take place at the Carlisle Grounds at 1.30pm ahead of Bray Wanderers v Finn Harps in the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division.

Watch Cork City v Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland on Monday on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player, kick-off 7.30pm
