Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: The Gypsy King training 'like a man possessed' as talks continue

Tyson Fury is apparently training ‘like a man possessed’ as he prepares to return to the ring against Oleksandr Usyk in 2023.

Usyk holds three of the four recognised belts following his successful rematch against Anthony Joshua earlier this month.

Fury meanwhile has the other after his stunning sixth-round knockout of Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.

The pair are now on a collision course for the start of next year, assuming they can agree terms with both men represented by two different promoters.

However, this is not expected to be a problem, as Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum has revealed they are now looking at a date in February with the Middle East the most likely location.

And the Gypsy King is reportedly leaving no stone unturned as he wants to be in ‘the best shape of his life’ for arguably the biggest fight of his career.

A source told The Sun that Fury has been working ‘relentlessly’ after seeing Usyk beat Joshua for the second time in a row two weeks ago.

They said: “Tyson is training really, really hard.

“He’s in fight mode and totally focused on Usyk. Ever since the Usyk vs Joshua fight ended, he’s been in the gym, on the road and sparring. He wants to be in the best shape of his life and is working towards a contest early in 2023.

“Right now, he is like a man possessed and retirement is the last thing on his mind.

“Training is where Tyson is happiest and right now, he is working relentlessly.”

Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren, meanwhile, recently revealed that talks were ongoing between the two parties well before Usyk’s rematch with Joshua.
