Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua date, venue, fight purse split & latest news

Aside from an official announcement, it appears as though a deal is done for Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to finally meet, with both fighters having revealed the agreement on Tuesday. Joshua has accepted a 60/40 purse split in favour of Fury, with a December 3 fight taking place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff..

The pair have remarkably never faced one another despite a two-fight deal having been agreed in 2020 before Fury was ordered to fight Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight by a US court. This meant that last autumn Fury faced Wilder for a third time, claiming victory, while 'AJ' lost to Oleksandr Usyk in their first fight.

This year has seen circumstance make it appear as a fight could have been further away than ever, with Fury successfully defending his WBC belt and declaring that he would like to face Usyk in a unification bout in the wake of the Ukrainian's win against Joshua last month.

Fury has brought fans a valuable update on the progress of talks, breaking his social media silence to share the fight's progress. In a video posted to his Instagram on Monday, Fury said: "Hey guys, Queen's funeral today," Fury said in a brief update on his Instagram story. "I've been off social media for the past ten days mourning, in respect for our Queen who has died. Not posted nothing, not been interested in anything else, to be fair. I hope all the funeral goes well, condolences to the full family and may she rest in Heaven in eternity. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen."
