Tyson Fury's chances against Anthony Joshua conqueror Daniel Dubois rated by top trainer

Shane McGuigan says that Tyson Fury would struggle in a fight against IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.

The 'Gypsy King' was ringside for 'DDD' and AJ's blockbuster heavyweight showdown at Wembley Stadium earlier this month, keeping a watchful eye on a potential opponent next year. Fury is set to rematch Oleksandr Usyk in December after squandering the chance to become undisputed in February - the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO and IBO titles instead headed to the undefeated Ukrainian via split-decision.

However, should Fury reign supreme in his rematch with Usyk later this year, he may be hit with the troubling task of facing Dubois in 2025 if he wants to become undisputed. 22-2 Dubois currently holds the IBF title after Usyk was stripped of this summer, and if Fury can get his hands on Usyk's WBA (Super), WBO, WBC, and IBO straps, his sights will no doubt be set on capturing DDD's belt.

However, well-established coach McGuigan - who has worked with the likes of Dubois, Josh Taylor, Carl Frampton, David Haye and George Groves over the years - believes that the task may be too much for Fury. When asked on how he thought a fight between Dubois and Fury would pan out by Seconds Out, McGuigan took a deep breath before saying: "I mean he's a lot better than Francis Ngannou.
