Tyson Fury left baffled by Oleksandr Usyk message just days before Saudi fight

Tyson Fury was left utterly bewildered by a pre-fight message from Oleksandr Usyk. Just days before the rivals square off in the ring, Fury found himself by a cryptic comment from his opponent.

Fury and Usyk are set to face each other to determine the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis claimed the title in 1999. The fight, which is slated for next Saturday in Saudi Arabia, was initially scheduled for last April at Wembley and later rescheduled twice, reports the Mirror.

However, the countdown has begun, with just eight days to go until the starting bell rings. Usyk utilised a documentary ahead of their clash to deliver a seemingly cryptic message to his opponent: "Hey, my friend. Don't be afraid, I will not leave you alone."

On hearing this, a visibly confused Fury asked, "What does that even mean? Don't be afraid I won't leave you alone?" Though confused, Fury acknowledged the formidable challenge Usyk poses, expressing to Queensberry Promotions the respect he holds for his competitor and his accomplishments, stating: "Oleksandr Usyk's a real bad man and to underestimate Usyk you'd be a mug."

He continued: "So I'm training hard for him, I'm doing everything I can. I respect Usyk as a man. I respect his career as well Olympic champion, undisputed cruiserweight champion, unified heavyweight champion.
