Tyson Fury enjoying retirement from boxing as he insists 'it's been a long time coming'

Tyson Fury has once again doubled down on his retirement claims as he insisted ‘it’s been a long time coming’.

The Gypsy King called time on his career last month after knocking out Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.

Boxing fans had been hoping to see him face the winner of Anthony Joshua‘s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk for the chance to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.

But it seems he has no desire to ever return to the ring as he insists he is now happily retired.

Fury said on his Instagram story: “I’ve just finished a lovely four mile run along the promenade; I’ve got a great sweat on.

“I am very very happy and contented to be retired.

“It’s been a long time coming and I am so much enjoying my retirement.”

Meanwhile, Fury’s UK-based promoter Frank Warren believes he could earn more than half of a £200 million pot by accepting a fight with either AJ or Usyk.
