Tyson Fury criticised for 'shooting down' with Anthony Joshua fight offer comments

Tyson Fury has been told he now must take responsibility in making the fight with Anthony Joshua happen after calling him out yesterday, with AJ now responding.

Fury announced over the weekend that he was looking for an opponent this winter with Oleksandr Usyk unavailable after reportedly rehabbing an injury that will keep him out until 2023.

The Gypsy King decided to take to social media yesterday to call out Joshua - with both fighters without an opponent - challenging his long-term rival to a bout later this year.

That same night, Joshua responded when he said: "Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your [sic] really about it shout 258mgt. I’ll be ready in December. Khalas."

BT Sport analyst Adam Catterall has now stated that Fury must now make the fight happen, adding that he has a responsibility to do after calling Joshua out from a 'position of power and punching down'.

Catterall said: "I think Tyson Fury, he wakes up in the morning and says 'I'll do this today' - we've been seeing that quite a lot over the last couple of months. Two weeks ago, I think he said he'd fight Anthony Joshua for free on free-to-air TV, so who knows where he is at right now.

"If you call someone out from a position of power then it is on you to make the fight. He is the champion, and he is shooting down towards Joshua. Every single fan would love to see the Anthony Joshua fight if Oleksandr Usyk is not right.

"Fury said 'if you're interested, give me a call'... what is not to be interested about? A few million quid and a free swing at a title shot coming off the back of two losses - he'll be absolutely in."
