Two more men charged over murder of 28-year-old Ashley Dale

Two more men have been charged in connection with the murder of Ashley Dale who was fatally shot in Merseyside last year.

The 28-year-old was found in the backyard of the property on Leinster Road, Old Swan shortly after midnight on August 21. Ashley was taken to hospital, but died a short time later.

Niall Barry, 26, of Moscow Drive, Tuebrook, and Sean Zeisz, 27, of Longreach Road, Huyton, have both been charged with murder. They are both remanded in custody and due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday February 14).

James Witham, 40, of Ashbury Road, Huyton and Joseph Peers, 28, of Woodlands Road, Roby, have already been charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent. Kallum Radford, 25, of no fixed abode, has also been charged with assisting an offender.

Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information relating to Ashley's death. In a statement, they said: "Detectives have charged two more men in connection with the murder of Ashley Dale in Old Swan last August.

"At around 12.40am on Sunday, 21 August 2022, officers were called to an address in Leinster Road following reports of concern for a woman at the property. Emergency services attended and found Ashley in the rear garden with a gunshot wound to her body. Ashley was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.

"The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Merseyside Police to charge the following men with murder: Niall Barry, 26, of Moscow Drive, Tuebrook, and Sean Zeisz, 27, of Longreach Road, Huyton.
