Two collisions cause delays on M4 and A470

Drivers faced delays on two of the main routes in south Wales on Friday morning. A collision closed one lane of the M4 eastbound between J46 Llangyfelach and J45 Ynysforgan.

The collision closed lane two for around an hour, with heavy congestion reported. The lane reopened shortly before 12pm and traffic cleared after 20 minutes.

A two-vehicle collision also caused disruption on the A470 in Rhondda Cynon Taf. One lane on the northbound carriageway between Nantgarw and Upperboat was closed at around 10.20am.

Traffic had cleared by 11am with all lanes reopened.
