Tuned-in O'Sullivan rockets to Crucible semi-finals
Ronnie O'Sullivan needed just over 20 minutes of the final session of his World Snooker Championship quarter-final to seal a 13-5 victory over Stephen Maguire at the Crucible.
Leading 11-5 overnight, O'Sullivan made breaks of 71 and 126 to wrap up the match and seal a semi-final spot against John Higgins or Jack Lisowski.
Maguire's rally in the opening part of the second session proved short-lived as the six-time world champion won seven of the last eight frames.
O'Sullivan also has the advantage of a break from this morning's session until his last four clash at 7pm on Thursday, with the remaining quarter-finalists all in action throughout today, including Higgins and Jack Lisowski playing to a finish this evening.
