Tunbridge Wells Foresters FC players in hospital after match against Ide Hill
Several players were taken to hospital after an incident at a football match.
A match played by Tunbridge Wells Foresters FC on Saturday ended in “violence” in what is being described as a “serious incident”.
A statement was issued by TW Foresters which said: “A serious incident happened after a match with players being hospitalised.
“We are sickened by these events and condemn all levels of violence.”
It said children were present at the time.
The men’s first XI played Ide Hill 3rds while six youth teams were also in action.
The club confirmed police had been involved and one of the players was now out of hospital.
Kent Police has been contacted for comment.
