Tryon hopes for improved Proteas batting, won't take Pakistan for granted
Proteas all-rounder Chloe Tryon says South Africa is looking to improve their batting ahead of Friday's Women's Cricket World Cup encounter against Pakistan.
On Friday, the Proteas take on Pakistan at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
It's a do-or-die moment for Pakistan, who are playing their third game, as a loss against South Africa would mean that they'll be effectively out of the tournament.
However, it's been nearly a week since South Africa defeated Bangladesh, but Tryon insists that her side are refreshed and ready to go as they face Pakistan.
"We've been watching a lot of cricket, which has been good. It's been great to switch off, we know it's a long tournament. We just need to manage ourselves and get fresh by giving 100 percent," Tryon told reporters on Thursday morning.
South Africa got their campaign going with a 32-run win in Dunedin thanks to a stellar bowling effort led by Ayabonga Khaka's 4 for 32.

The Proteas were bowled out for 207 (Marizanne Kapp 42, and Laura Wolvaardt 41).
Tryon, who scored 39 off 40 balls last week, says that the batters took a lot of pointers after their performance.
"It was under-par. We discussed it thoroughly that we weren't happy with our batting performance," said Tryon.
"We didn't take enough responsibility up the order and we felt we needed partnerships, which we didn't do enough of.
"We definitely worked on that after having those conversations as we went into net sessions. Even though the wickets are slow, we still have to find a way and try and make 270 plus on these wickets."
Tryon, who missed most of last season due to injury, says she is feeling good and hopes to continue contributing with both bat
