Transport Police in Manchester City Centre tackle disruptive male at railway station
It has been a busy night for Greater Manchester Police in the city centre tackling a number of offences as part of Operation Custodian.
The GMP Transport unit were called to Piccadilly station to assist British Transport Police with a disruptive male, an incident that was handled successfully with the offender being removed from the station.
Police tweeted: "#GMPTransportUnit deployed at Piccadilly for #OpCustodian this evening. We assisted @BTP colleagues in removing a disruptive male from the train, amongst other duties #GMTravelSafe"
The same patrol has issued a number of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) to motorists in the city centre one of whom was caught driving while using a mobile phone.
Another motorist was questioned by police after they failed a roadside drug wipe, which tested positive.
