Transfer revelation emerges as Tottenham Hotspur pursue Middlesbrough ace

Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have gone as far as scouting Middlesbrough wing-back Isaiah Jones ahead of a potential transfer approach in the summer, according to journalist Dean Jones who spoke to Give Me Sport.

The 22-year-old has been a revelation at the Riverside Stadium this term, establishing himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet after previously looking as though he would be on the fringes of the first team or shipped out on another loan deal.

His presence has been key in ensuring the Teesside outfit haven’t regretted loaning out another Premier League-linked player in Djed Spence, who is currently shining out on loan at Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.

Not only has Jones performed admirably in defence, playing his part in ensuring Boro dumped top-tier duo Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur out of the FA Cup this calendar year, but he has also been an extremely valuable player offensively.

Recording one goal and nine assists in 33 league appearances this term, this has been a reflection of how important he has been in winning crucial points for Chris Wilder’s men, providing assists for late winners against Blackpool and Reading earlier this season.
