Traffic at a standstill into Cardiff after crashes on major road into city and M4 cause delays
Drivers are warning others to avoid the Cardiff Link road, the A4232 as all traffic is being held eastbound following a crash. Traffic monitoring system Inrix describes the scene of the crash to be from A48 Cowbridge Road to B4267 Leckwith Road.
Emergency services including South Wales Fire and Rescue Service are understood to be at the scene.
Inrix said: "One lane closed and slow traffic due to accident on A4232 Grangetown Link Eastbound from A48 Cowbridge Road (Culver House Cross) to B4267 Leckwith Road (Leckwith Interchange)."
The Cardiff Bay Link Road is officially known as the A4232 Eastern Bay Link, a 1.2 km dual carriageway in Cardiff that connects the A4232 at the Queensgate roundabout to Rover Way at the Ocean Way roundabout.
There has also been a crash on the M4 near Neath Port Talbot with delays reported in the area. This incident has since cleared and traffic is easing.
