Tottenham XI vs Burnley: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League game today

Tottenham have no fears over Harry Kane’s injury status for tonight’s rearranged Premier League clash with Burnley at Turf Moor.

The England captain delivered a sublime striker‘s performance against Manchester City at the weekend, with his two-goal salvo sealing a shock 3-2 win for Spurs at the Etihad and blowing the title race wide open.

Kane finished that game moving uncomfortably due to a knock to his back, though manager Antonio Conte has insisted he is ready for this evening’s trip to Lancashire, joking that the 28-year-old “would play on one leg”.

Tottenham remain without Sergio Reguilon due to the Spaniard’s positive Covid-19 test, so Ryan Sessegnon will retain his spot at right wing-back against Burnley.

Oliver Skipp is also sidelined, with the midfielder yet to return to training after picking up an infection while rehabbing a groin injury. Japhet Tanganga (knee) is also out.

The rest of the Spurs XI rather picks itself following such a superb win and with no fresh injury concerns, though Conte could well make one change in midfield.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and January recruit Rodrigo Bentancur both covered plenty of ground against City and the latter could get a rest tonight as the games come thick and fast, with Harry Winks likely to deputise.

“The midfielders against Manchester City, Pierre and Rodrigo, they put in a fantastic performance, they ran a lot and the effort was top,” Conte said.

“We have to see if they recover very well otherwise I will have to make rotation because we have many games in a row in a few days and we have to try in every moment to find the best solution.”

Tottenham predicted XI (3-4-3): Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Winks, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Son, Kane.
