Tottenham Hotspur Sent New Signing A Contract With The Wrong Players Name On It

Tottenham Hotspur managed to send a contract to a new signing that had the wrong name on it, instead leaving the name of a failed transfer target on.

Journalist Sergio Krithinas claimed that the lawyer was left very 'surprised' when he saw the contract with the former Porto player's name was on the deal for his client, especially as the Colombian had signed for Liverpool already.

Diaz had initially been linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp's team but Spurs were actually the first team to make a bit for the Porto forward.

Spurs will be pleased that they managed to sign Bentancur and Kulusevski, even if they weren't their first choice signings, but did miss out on others.

Meanwhile Tanguy Ndombele, Bryan Gil, Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli all left the club in January, with the former MK Dons player leaving permanently and the rest on loan.

It remains to be seen if the winter's dealings have left Spurs more likely to finish in the top four come the end of the season.
