Tottenham 'genuinely interested' in 'hugely talented' £50m star at Hotspur Way

Tottenham are “genuinely” interested in signing Everton ace Richarlison, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Antonio Conte has already filled three gaps in his squad with the arrivals of Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma, but the Spurs boss is still desperately looking for an attacking signing.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs interested in the Brazil international, who wants to leave Everton but remain in English football’s top-flight.

The report states that Spurs are keen on the versatile forward, whose 10 goals helped the Toffees fight off relegation last season, while Arsenal and Chelsea are both in the running for his services.

Everton want in excess of £50m for Richarlison and are prepared to listen to offers for the star in a bid to help improve their finances, with Conte’s side said to be the ‘most serious’ about landing him.

Tottenham have also been linked with Leeds winger Raphinha, while Gabriel Jesus remains on their radar, but Brown believes that their interest in Richarlison is “genuine” although nothing is set to happen in the near-future.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “It’s certainly possible. Richarlison is someone that Tottenham have liked for a long time.

“People at the club play that one down and say that nothing is happening imminently, but everyone knows their interest has been there for a long time and is genuine.”
