Tottenham frustrated by dogged Frankfurt in stalemate

Tottenham had to settle for a point at Frankfurt after enduring a frustrating goalless draw from their Champions League Group D fixture.

Spurs were eager to bounce back following Saturday's humbling loss to rivals Arsenal and produced a much-improved display but failed to show enough quality in the final third.

Antonio Conte saw Son Heung-min and Harry Kane waste opportunities, which meant they had to be content with a 0-0 draw that keeps Tottenham in with a strong chance of qualifying for the knockout stage after three group fixtures.

Son and Kane were beginning to get in the mood and they combined again with the latter firing wide from 22 yards after an excellent turn.

It was Son who threatened next just before half time, following Kane's superb flick-on, but the South Korean bent this shot wide.
