Tottenham: 'Exceptional' £45m Conte target now keen on 'England return'

Tottenham target Arnaut Danjuma would like to come back to England, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

The Dutchman has thrived at Villarreal this season following his move from Bournemouth last summer, and he is now being linked with a switch to Antonio Conte’s side.

According to 90min, Tottenham sent officials to go and watch Danjuma and his team-mate Pau Torres in Villarreal’s Champions League semi-final tie against Liverpool.

Danjuma’s Champions League campaign ended in disappointing fashion, with the 25-year-old winger watching his side lose the second leg of that encounter with the Reds from the sidelines. However, it was a positive tournament for him and his team overall.

In 11 appearances, Danjuma scored six times, including against European giants Juventus and Bayern Munich.

If that impressed Tottenham and they now want to buy him, the price they could be looking at is £45m – his release clause.

Bridge has told GIVEMESPORT that he has heard that the former Bournemouth man is more than open to returning to England.

Speaking to GMS, the Sky Sports journalist said: “The little bits I’ve heard here and there is that he’d like to come back to England. He’s enjoyed his time in Villarreal, but I don’t know how happy he is there.”

Lucas Moura. The Brazilian is already on the periphery following Dejan Kulusevski’s arrival back in January.

Over the last few months, he has mostly been restricted to cameos from off the bench, with Conte preferring Kulusevski and Son Heung-min in the wide positions.
