Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddahanaprabha wants to see Brendan Rodgers' team fight for domestic trophies now they do not have European football to contend with.

City missed out on a place in one of Uefa’s competitions after finishing eighth in the Premier League table, four points off the European places, and losing in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League. For the first time in three years, City will only play in domestic competitions next season.

But the club’s owner wants them to make the most of that and push for more silverware. City clinched the FA Cup for the first time in their history last year, while there have been three other occasions under Rodgers where they have made it to at least the last eight of the Carabao Cup or FA Cup.

Leicester City have reportedly made an enquiry for Arsenal’s French international centre-back William Saliba.

City are seeking a new central defender as a priority this summer, and Saliba is the latest name to be linked. French outlet L’Equipe report that City, along with Newcastle, Napoli, and Atletico Madrid, have all asked about his availability.

Saliba is an Arsenal player but has spent the past season on loan at Marseille, where his performances helped them reach the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League and qualify for the Champions League with a second-placed finish. He was named young player of the year in Ligue 1.

Manchester City will reportedly listen to offers for Nathan Ake this summer, something which has caught the eye of some Leicester City fans on social media.
