Yes, Tony Romo is making headlines, again, for all the wrong reasons ahead of this 2026 NFL season.

For those who missed it, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback was arrested in Milwaukee Thursday night for allegedly operating while intoxicated.

Romo was reportedly stopped on a highway and performed poorly on field sobriety tests, FOX6 in Milwaukee reported. He was released and is due in court Sept. 21.

I'm not here to break down the Xs and Os of Romo's arrest, and what it might mean for his future at CBS. I don't care about that. I care about what Romo was doing before his ill-fated drive home.

The 46-year-old was arrested on the same day as the final round of the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf tournament. Romo is an excellent golfer, and was playing in the event. Last week, he played in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament.

His offseasons are mostly spent on a golf course, which is fair. It's where I'd be, too.

Here's the thing ... this particular event didn't go great for Romo.
