Tonbridge Angels extend Jordan Greenidge's loan spell from Hemel Hempstead

Tonbridge Angels have extended in-form striker Jordan Greenidge's stay at Longmead.

The 22-year-old has scored five goals in six appearances since joining on loan from fellow National South club Hemel Hempstead.

His initial one-month deal was up at the weekend but he'll now be on board until February 8.

Angels boss Jay Saunders set the wheels in motion with Hemel counterpart Mark Jones last week.

"Jordan's done really well for us," said Saunders. "I'm pleased we've been able to extend the loan.

"Five goals in six games is a good return. He's only 22, he's still learning the game and we feel we can improve him.

"If you look at his career, he's not played loads of games. This is probably the longest run of games he's had.

"There's a little bit of work to do with him but he knows where the goal is, which is important, and he gives us something different with his size.

"There's a lot more to come from him."

Greenidge started his career in the youth team at Stoke City, followed by spells in Cyprus and Spain with Omonia Nicosia and Club Deportivo Badajoz respectively.

He returned to England three years ago, playing for Newport, Weymouth and Dartford before joining Hemel last summer.
