Tomás Quinn: Dublin need to rotate forwards to get the most out of Con O'Callaghan

Dublin have a more experienced squad heading into this summer's championship showdown with Kerry.

While Jonny Cooper retired at the end of 2022, Jack McCaffrey, Paul Mannion and Stephen Cluxton - with 19 Celtic Crosses between them - made themselves available for selection once more.

Two are almost certain to start on Sunday while McCaffrey has been used more as an impact sub since his return.

Another big asset for Dublin this season has been a player who was involved in the panel last year but who missed out on the loss to Kerry with an injury, Con O'Callaghan.

For Tomás Quinn, who was speaking on the RTÉ GAA Podcast, the Cuala man has offered a different point of attack for the Dubs this summer in a less attacking role than previous years.

"Con mightn't have been as flashy, in terms of dynamic goals, but he's been consistent through the championship," Quinn said.

"He's been scoring and contributing regularly. The position he has taken up has been quite smart. He's playing in between half-forward and full-forward and he's leaving space.

"We've seen Colm Basquel, particularly in the Mayo game, and Cormac Costello, there's a bit more space for them to operate in there when Con has moved out.

"I'd like to see them rotate a bit more. If Con O'Callaghan is 40 or 50 yards from goal, Kerry are happy. The closer he is to goal, if Dublin can get ball into him closer to goal, [then] there's opportunities there.

"So I'd like to see him rotated and Cormac has the skill set - as does Basquel -
