The cost of renting a home in Greater Manchester is becoming all the more unaffordable during the cost of living crisis, with tenants now getting much less bang for their buck.

This tiny flat in Bolton has just come on the market, and despite its lack of space, it costs £425 per month to rent - which equates to almost £100 per week. Found in the town of Little Lever, the small flat is housed inside a large Victorian house on private road.

Described as a 'studio bedsit', the one-bedroom flat comes fully furnished with a double bed and a built-in kitchen - but the catch is that you'll sleep just inches away from where you'll cook.

Tenants can in fact hop out of bed and find themselves right next to the kitchen sink, hob and oven, enabling them to make themselves a brew or breakfast instantly.

Although some may see this as a bonus, others may think that the 'open-plan' studio apartment is rather tight for space with barely any room to manoeuvre.

It is unclear whether the flat has any additional living space as images on the listing show only the kitchen, bed and bathroom which comes with a walk-in shower.

On the plus side, the £425 a month rent does come with gas, water and council tax included.

Estate agents Dwell & Co say the flat is 'perfect' for working professionals with its location being close to Bolton town centre and Bolton train station, with just a 20 minute commute to Manchester and Salford.

The flat is available to let immediately and the estate agents are looking for a long-term tenant.
