Time up at Everton? - 'Embarrassing' Silva signing has now 'been offered' to another EPL club

Everton striker Richarlison is ‘likely’ to leave the club and could join fellow Premier League side Arsenal this summer, transfer insider Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport.

The Toffees agreed a fee which could rise to £50m to sign the player from Watford in the summer of 2018, when Marco Silva was in charge, but the Brazil international may now be looking to make a step up after Frank Lampard’s team hit relegation trouble. With just six games of the season remaining, they find themselves two points off 17th place.

Arsenal have been also linked with Richarlison’s fellow Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is supposedly one of the Gunners’ ‘primary targets’ during the January transfer window.

Jones has said that a move to the Emirates Stadium could be on the cards for Richarlison, who seems poised to exit Goodison Park in the summer.

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “I think Arsenal definitely have a possibility of signing Richarlison. They know that he could leave Everton and is likely to leave Everton in the summer. They’ve been offered the chance to sign him.”

How much would Everton miss Richarlison?

On the one hand, he is their top scorer this season, netting eight goals along with providing four assists. If they are to avoid the drop, then you’d imagine that he would have a significant part to play.

On the other hand, there are many who are underwhelmed with the 24-year-old.

For instance, Stan Collymore has said that he is still ‘waiting’ for the player to deliver a truly ‘great season’, and Brazilian journalist Marco Scimpolo has dubbed him ‘average‘.

Furthermore, some have questioned his attitude, with Newcastle World’s Jordan Cronin calling his behaviour during Sunday’s Merseyside derby defeat ’embarrassing’.
