Thurles card cancelled after snow
Today's card at Thurles has been cancelled after a morning inspection, with the track deemed unfit for racing after overnight snow.
A seven-race card was scheduled to begin at 1.55pm.
IHRB clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer said: "There was the prospect of some warmer air coming in today but that seems to be much later in the afternoon now and therefore we have been left with no choice to cancel the fixture.
"We had a covering of snow overnight and the track was not raceable when we carried out our inspection this morning."
Frost has claimed Carlisle's afternoon meeting, with the only National Hunt fare in the UK this afternoon set to take place at Wincanton, where heavy rain has changed the going from good to soft from good, good to firm in places.
All-weather cards takes place on the Tapeta surfaces at Newcastle and Southwell.
