Three vehicle M4 crash closes lane and causing tailbacks between J24 Coldra and J23 Magor - live updates

There are queues on the M4 after a rush hour crash closed a lane of the motorway. Traffic monitoring system INRIX is showing that a three vehicle crash has closed one lane of the motorway eastbound near Magor.

The crash happened between J24 A449 ( Coldra ) to J23A A4810 ( Magor Services), just before 8am on Wednesday, October 3. Traffic monitoring systems show three vehicles were involved, however, this has yet to be confirmed by emergency services.

Lane three (of three) is blocked. Traffic is now trailing back to just after J25.

Traffic cameras show heavy congestion in the area.

The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
