Three keepers Sheffield Wednesday could turn to replace Bailey Peacock-Farrell

With goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell returning to parent club Burnley following his loan spell this season with Sheffield Wednesday, the Owls and Darren Moore are in the market for a new shot stopper between the sticks at Hillsborough.

As of now, the Owls have just two keepers on their first team books in Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson. The duo have played for Wednesday in the Championship in years gone by and have both made appearances for England at age-grade level.

With his old deal set to finish at the end of this season, Wildsmith has been offered a new contract to stay on with the Owls.

Both could be options for Moore heading into next season but it has been well documented that Wednesday are said to be in the market for a keeper. YorkshireLive takes a look at three League One shot stoppers who could fit between the sticks at Hillsborough.

There is no doubt that Sheffield Wednesday are one of if not the biggest name in League One these days. The Owls finished fourth in the table and were minutes away from sending their play-off semi-final against Sunderland to extra-time before the Black Cats bagged a late aggregate winner at Hillsborough.

That was Peacock-Farrell's last game for the Owls, and with Burnley's relegation from the Premier League and Nick Pope's potential departure from Turf Moor, it's more likely than not the former will be playing Championship football for the Clarets next season.

So, one route the Owls could take is to sign the best players League One has to offer. Charlton keeper Craig MacGillivray fits that bill.
