Three in hospital after 5-car crash at busy A48 junction in Cardiff
Three people have been taken to hospital following a serious crash on the A48 Llanedeyrn roundabout in Cardiff involving five cars.
The crash has closed the off-slip for the Llanedeyrn junction on the A48 for around two hours around rush hour and police were joined by the fire service and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
At the time police warned all drivers to avoid the area as all five vehicles were being recovered.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Just after 2.30pm today a collision occurred on the Eastbound slip road of the A48 at LLanedeyrn.
"Three people have been taken to hospital.
"The slip road has been closed for the vehicles to be recovered and the road cleared.
"Motorists are advised to take alternative routes until further notice."
A spokesperson for SWFRS said: "SWFRS was called to a road traffic collision at approximately 14:40 today involving five vehicles.
"All vehicles were made safe with stabilisation equipment and the road has been closed for further investigation."
