Thomas Tuchel was a class act when asked about Chelsea's crisis after Norwich win

Thursday was certainly a tough day for Chelsea Football Club.

In the morning, those associated with the west London outfit had to digest the news that owner Roman Abramovich was having his assets frozen by the UK government.

The sanctions that have been imposed on the Russian billionaire are seriously concerning for the football club and the Blues’ future is certainly up in the air right now.

However, Chelsea are still allowed to play football and they secured yet another three points on Thursday evening after beating Norwich City 3-1 at Carrow Road.

It was another solid performance from Thomas Tuchel’s side, with Trevoh Chalobah, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz the goalscorers on the night.

But after the match, the main topic of conversation was never going to be about Chelsea’s display against the Canaries.

Instead, the majority of questions aimed at Tuchel focused on the turmoil instigated by the Abramovich sanctions and the German handled them brilliantly.

“Let’s see if it stays like this,” Tuchel told BBC 5 Live Sport. “If it does, I don’t know. We take it day by day. I didn’t see that coming yesterday and I don’t know what is coming tomorrow.

“Everybody can be very sure that we focus on us, to keep the attitude and the mentality right on the training ground and within the team.

“So far we can trust each other and this will not change. As long as we have enough shirts and a bus to drive to the games we will be there and will compete hard.”

The man really is a born leader.

Tuchel also conducted a post-match interview with Sky Sports, which you can check out below.
