Thomas Frank reveals truth about potentially replacing Erik ten Hag at Manchester United

Brentford manager Thomas Frank said "there are a lot of rumours out there" when asked whether there was truth in reports linking him with Manchester United in the summer.

Frank has established Brentford as a Premier League side since their promotion to the top flight in 2021 and has guided the London club to ninth and 13th place finishes in the table.

Brentford have a limited budget but play attractive football and Frank has been praised for his tactical nous, which has helped his side claim the scalp of some of the biggest sides.

United will welcome Brentford to Old Trafford this weekend and they have been tricky opposition in the last two seasons. The game also carries huge importance for Erik ten Hag, who is facing enormous pressure after overseeing the club's worst start to a Premier League campaign.

Despite many predicting Ten Hag would be sacked during the international break, he has survived and will remain in charge for Brentford's visit in the Premier League on Saturday.

Frank was among the managers to be heavily linked with replacing Ten Hag in the summer and his name has continued to be mentioned in conversations about the Dutchman's successor.

The Brentford boss sat down with talkSPORT this week and provided an update on his future, although he refused to be drawn into reports suggesting he could replace Ten Hag.
