Thomas Frank addresses Manchester United links as Erik ten Hag remains under pressure

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has not ruled out the possibility of taking over at Manchester United in the future, although he concedes that such a move might not be as conducive to his happiness.

Frank, 51, is understood to have caught the eye of some at Old Trafford and was believed to be on United's radar earlier this year when there were discussions about potentially dismissing Erik ten Hag. With Ten Hag's position looking shaky after a lacklustre start to the season, winning just four out of the first 12 matches, speculation has mounted, with reports suggesting United have a shortlist of four candidates to take over.

Frank, who is currently the second-longest serving manager in the Premier League after Pep Guardiola, has been suggested as a candidate for a larger club to further his career. When questioned about how much his personal happiness would factor into a decision if United approached him, Frank said: "One thing is for sure if I ever leave Brentford, which will probably happen one day, I'll definitely go back to Denmark one day, I know that. Who knows what will happen in the future? We never know.
