Third Efunkoya National Cadet Table Tennis Championship begins Thursday

The Third Dr. Efunkoya National Junior Table Tennis Championships will begin at the National Stadium, Lagos, on September 29 and end on October I, the organisers have said.

Former players and lovers of table tennis within and outside the country are bankrolling the yearly event.     The late Efunkoya was a medical practitioner, who became involved in the administration of table tennis in 1962. He was elected chairman of the then Nigeria Table Tennis Association in 1963.
