Thierry Henry Confirms Exactly Who Is The 'Real' Ronaldo
We can all stop calling Manchester United's forward by the name 'Ronaldo,' Thierry Henry has decreed it!
For years confusion has reigned down on football conversations as fans have had to explain exactly who they've meant when saying the name 'Ronaldo.'
However there has also been plenty of times when one has had to explain they're not talking about the five time Ballon d'Or winner and instead the 2002 World Cup winning Brazil striker.
That ends now though, with Henry saying that the name 'Ronaldo' is referring to Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, or 'the real Ronaldo' and 'Cristiano' refers to United's oft criticised forward.
"For me, how many Ronaldo’s did you know growing up?"
"The real one? To call him the ‘real Ronaldo’ now when we’ve got Cristiano…" Carragher replied.
"Ronaldo is R9. Cristiano is Cristiano Ronaldo," the Frenchman retorted.
So there we have it!
Obviously you're free to not listen to the former Arsenal striker, lord knows I'll still be referring to the 37-year-old forward as 'Ronaldo' in my articles.
His arrival in the Spanish capital led to a standing ovation for both himself and fellow former Real Madrid star Raphael Varane, ahead of the game.
The teenager came on to score his first goal in the Champions League and earn his side a draw, unfortunately for United the abolishment of the away goal rule means they still need to get a goal at the return leg at Old Trafford.
How they'd love to be able to play Ronaldo in the game....the 'real one'....from Brazil....Ronaldo...
