"There's no doubt..." - Journalist drops big Spurs transfer claim as Levy set to fork out £70m

Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer budget will be affected by the permanent signings of loan stars Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The capital club brought in the two talented youngsters on loan deals with an obligation to buy last August and January, respectively, meaning they will have to cough up substantial fees ahead of next season.

According to The Guardian, Tottenham brought in defender Romero from Atalanta on a season-long loan with the option to make his stay permanent for €55 million (£46.7m).

Meanwhile, Kulusevski joined on an 18-month loan deal in the winter that cost Spurs £8.3m, £2.5m this season and £5.8m next term.

Sky Sports claim that there is an obligation to buy the Sweden international for £29.2m if certain sporting criteria are met, while the Evening Standard have revealed the north London outfit have already decided to do so.

With Tottenham already committing between £70m and £75.9m of their transfer budget for Romero and Kulusevski, depending on certain clauses, their spending power could be limited next term.
