The X Factor's Chris Maloney supported as he admits 'he's gone too far' and shares shock snap

Former X Factor star Chris Maloney has been flooded with support from his online followers after he admitted he had gone too far with his latest surgery. The 45-year-old has been known in the public sphere since 2012 when he appeared on the ninth season of the ITV singing competition.

Christopher was a hit with viewers on Simon Cowell's talent show and finished in a very respectable third place behind runner-Jahméne Douglas and eventual winner James Arthur.

But he has now sparked major concern after he showed off the results of a recent surgery he had done, with the former TV star even fearing he has 'gone too far' this time. He took to Instagram on Wednesday to show off the gruesome results of his latest cosmetic procedure which seemingly looks like an eyelid lift.

The picture showed his bruised face and his eyes covered in stitches as he struggles to open and see through them. And Christopher hinted that he wasn't happy with the results of his latest cosmetic procedure as he captioned the post: "Think I’ve gone too far. I need a hug."

He then added hashtags referring to mental health body dysmorphia which according to the NHS is "a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance" which are often unnoticeable to others.

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate has been open about his battle with the condition and has previously shared his struggles with anxiety and body image. Following his post, Chris' fans and followers flooded the comments to send messages of support.
