The West Brom concept kits designed by fans ahead of 2022-23 release

The beginning of the new Championship season is a little over a month away, but West Bromwich Albion fans are still waiting to see how the players in those opening few weeks of the campaign will be kitted out. The Baggies are yet to unveil their new home, away and third strips for the 2022-23 season, which will again bear the Ideal Heating logo on the torso.

Albion have been experimental in the last few years, and have often opted to have an alternative strip to choose from, aside from the regular away top; in 2014-15 the contentious pinstripe kit was released, while in 2020-21 they restored the nostalgic barcode design to all three kits - in blue and white, green and yellow and red and yellow.

The agreement with Puma, who have manufactured the club’s range for every year since 2018, will continue. They have already kitted out the squad’s training gear, which they’re currently wearing while out in Portugal preparing for the new season ahead.

Last season’s offering, with a thick navy bar in place of two more narrow stripes down the middle of the top, prompted various opinions, but supporters remain in the dark about how their players will look as they step out onto the pitch at Middlesbrough on July 30.

In the close season, many supporters have - as they often do in between campaigns - draw up designs of how they’d like the kits (be it home, away, or third) to look. Here are the best concept kits Baggies supporters have fashioned in the absence of football, ahead of the official release which is expected shortly.
