The unsettling horror which unfolded on a street where they had 'no problems'

Residents have described their shock as it emerged a neighbour was potentially murdered before his remains were dumped at three locations across Salford.

Police investigating the discovery of part of a man's torso in Kersal Dale on April 4 yesterday (Sunday) confirmed other remains belonging to the same man have been found at two other locations, in a reservoir at Blackleach Country Park and Linnyshaw Colliery Woods, both in Walkden.

As two men were charged with murder on Monday afternoon, police confirmed more suspected human remains have been found in an alleyway close to railway lines off Worsley Road in Eccles. Detectives earlier confirmed the dead man and two arrested men all lived at a semi-detached property on Worsley Road in nearby Winton, where scene of crime officers were today spending a fifth day.

Today (Monday) residents on Worsley Road have described their shock after police also confirmed they believe the man 'is likely to have died there' at the end of March. Neighbours said the three men who lived at the property were hard-working Polish-heritage men.

One resident, who declined to be named, told the Manchester Evening News: "They were quiet neighbours. I didn't have many interactions with them. They were in and out at different times of the day."

He confirmed all three were Polish-heritage men and he added: "We never had any problems with them." He confirmed the trio had lived at the property for about five years and appeared to work in retail.
