The top 5 goals in the WSL this season, including Beth Mead & Pernille Harder

Extravagant chips, mazy solo runs, long-range thunderbolts –– this year’s Women’s Super League has been filled with outstanding goals.

Ona Battle’s finish for Manchester United against Reading, Sarah Mayling’s free-kick for Aston Villa versus Leicester, and Hanna Benison’s memorable effort against Birmingham were just some of the notable individual strikes from this campaign.

But her finest moment came against Man United back in September. The Danish star picked up the ball on the halfway line, glided past half of United’s side, before chipping the ball over Mary Earps.

Chelsea went on to win the match 6-1 and they’ve barely looked back in the league ever since.
