'The Streets Will Never Forget' - Stunning Hatem Ben Arfa Compilation Proves He Was Unbelievable At Newcastle

When you hear the phrase 'the streets will never forget', it's only right that Hatem Ben Arfa gets a mention.

After suffering a horrible broken leg injury as a result of a tackle from Nigel de Jong back in 2010, Ben Arfa made a remarkable recovery to produce some scintillating performances in a black and white shirt.

He did struggle for consistency and his stats aren't exactly anything to shout about, but fans have fond memories of the many mazy dribbles and stunning strikes he scored - solo goals against Blackburn and Bolton at St James' Park to name just two.

And thankfully to save us all from boredom in isolation, someone has put together a dreamy compilation of Ben Arfa's best bits for our viewing pleasure.

With highlights like these, he could probably convince his grandkids that he was one of the very best in his heyday.

Ben Arfa spent his final season at Newcastle on loan at Hull City before his contract was terminated in January 2015.

Playing under Claude Puel for a single season, Ben Arfa notched 17 goals in 34 Ligue One appearances as Nice finished in the top four.

The former Lyon and Marseille man then joined PSG, where he ended up going 15 months without playing a single game despite early promise.

He later signed for Rennes on a free and beat PSG in the Coupe de France whilst a £7 million lawsuit with his former employers was going on last season.

Ben Arfa went on to play for Real Valladolid and Bordeaux before signing for Lille on a six-month deal in January.
