The Streets Remember: Tom Brady's final Super Bowl appearance was a winner

Super Bowl LVI might only be around the corner, but with the news that Tom Brady has decided to retire, there might not be a more iconic moment to have happened in Super Bowl LV.

Of course, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers managed to do something no other team had ever managed to do when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida: win a Super Bowl at their own stadium.

Indeed, it was a record that had been previously unbroken – and yet we could see it happen again this year – but the Florida natives will have had one man to thank for helping them to achieve that: Tom Brady.

As mentioned, the legendary quarterback has finally decided to call it a day after slugging the ball to his favourite wide receivers and tight ends for the past 22 years, with the seven-time Super Bowl winner posting on Instagram a week or so ago that he would be retiring and spending his time pursuing other activities.

However, for many, one of the iconic moments to have taken place at Super Bowl LV in Tampa will have been the fact that it was the very last time that we saw the GOAT competing in the Super Bowl and that he won to claim his seventh ring.

The seventh win meant that he overtook every single franchise in the league as the overall leader of the most Super Bowl wins, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots both on six.

He completed 21 of 29 throws for 201 yards and threw three touchdowns, helping him to be named the Super Bowl MVP for a record-breaking fifth time, thus further cementing his place as the GOAT.
