The Outrageous Moment A Steward Walks Onto The Pitch During Luton Town Attack Has Everyone In Tears

Luton were on the front foot in the 20th minute when Elijah Adebayo controlled the ball inside the home side's box.

The action had to be stopped however as a St Andrew's steward, who had already walked onto the turf, tossed a tennis ball back into the crowd.

Adebayo threw his arms in the air in frustration and he believed a decent attacking opportunity had been thrown away.

It's likely the steward isn't a football fan and was genuinely unaware of the rules regarding going on the pitch.

Commentary explained: "He or she has now been told to not go on the pitch while the game is in full flow."

Fair play for wanting to keep the pitch clean, but at least wait until the action is taking place elsewhere?

The tennis balls were on the pitch as Birmingham fans continue their protests against owners BSHL.

Fans have reacted to the incident and they think it could be one of the funniest moments of the season.

One commented: "I cannot stop watching this oh my word."

Another said: "Incredible mind games from the steward. Probably the best piece of defending we've seen all season too."

A third tweeted: "Excuse me… sorry, sorry don’t mind me just gotta… grab this… thanks!"

While someone else put: "The Championship is box-office every single week, how can you not love it?"

Five minutes after the... unique stoppage, Birmingham went ahead through Juninho Bacuna.

Onel Hernandez added a third in the 69th minute to wrap up all three points.

It's Birmingham's second win in 12 games and it's come as a shock, given Luton's play-off aspirations.

The Hatters sit four points behind Middlesbrough in sixth place.
