The Outer Worlds 2: What is the release date?

It has been announced that The Outer Worlds 2 is in development, but the gaming community is waiting patiently for its release date.

Known as the Outer Worlds 2, the sequel to the dystopian sci-fi RPG features a healthy dose of corporate commentary made by Obsidian Entertainment, as Xbox announced during E3 2021.

In the original game, the game was often described as a Fallout game set in space, which makes sense since Obsidian created one of the best games, Fallout: New Vegas.

Now that The Outer Worlds 2 is in development, we can expect Obsidian to take everything a notch higher, especially the open world design.

With that being said, here’s everything we know so far about The Outer Worlds 2, and its possible release date.

Fans are sure to be eager for the game’s release, however, the original reveal of the game was not only devoid of a release date but also a parody of teaser trailers.

Despite the release of the first Outer Worlds at the end of 2019, the game’s final DLC did not arrive until the end of 2021.

However, it is possible that a smaller team handled the DLC and another small team worked on pre-production for the full-fledged sequel, but there may have been a lag in getting it greenlit.

So, in the best-case scenario, The Outer Worlds 2 may not be completed until at least 2023. 2024 is also an option, based on the fact that so little has been revealed about it and the amount of work the developers have put in.

Given that it was not shown at either of the Xbox conferences in 2022, it appears that this game will not be released until 2024.
