The new 2022/23 Nike Liverpool Premier League home kit leaked with small detail that fans will love

Images of Liverpool FC’s new 2022/23 home kit and pre-match jersey have leaked online which are sure to be fan favourites.

The new Nike home kit, as seen on Footy Headlines, has gone back to basics with a plain, yet slightly darker, red design and white/beige logos.

What fans will appreciate is the small 97 insignia on the back just below the collar, which is in tribute to the 97 victims of the Hillsborough disaster on April 15, 1989.

This year will mark 33 years since the disaster that occurred during the FA Cup semi-final fixture at the Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

Andrew Stanley Devine became the 97th victim of the Hillsborough tragedy after passing away at the age of 55 in July 2021 due to life-changing injuries sustained during the disaster.

The pre-match kit is another story entirely with a sleek maroon base and peach logos.

The top is also covered in diamond YNWA (You’ll Never Walk Alone) graphics, which are also featured on the home kit sleeves.

Jürgen Klopp's men will be hoping that the new Liverpool 2022/23 home kit will bring further luck after the Reds have been in imperious form, having not lost a Premier League game this calendar year.

Liverpool have also crept up the table towards Manchester City who have dropped points in recent fixtures.

The Reds sit 2nd in the table on 66 points with a game in hand on City who are four points clear.

Fresh from an impressive 2-0 win against Brighton, Liverpool face Arsenal next in the Premier League on Wednesday, March 16 at 20:15pm live on Sky Sports.
