In fact, Marie Claire reports that Princess Diana wore Quelques Fleurs l’Original by Houbigant on her wedding to now-King Charles III back in 1981. It is even rumoured that she spilled some on her dress on the morning of the big day, according to Brides.
Launched in 1912 by French perfumer, Robert Bienaimé, Quelques Fleurs l’Original by Houbigant is said to be the first multi-floral bouquet. Up until that time, floral fragrances had been mostly single flowers or were blended with herbs and other essences.
The 'enchanting' perfume features an immaculately-nuanced blend of floral notes. It features head notes of bergamot, galbanum, tarragon and lemon. The floral heart notes are underpinned by jasmine, tuberose, lily of the valley, rose and ylang ylang.
The fragrance dries down to a cultivated base of oakmoss, sandalwood, civet, cedarwood, musk and tonka bean. Despite the fragrance being a heritage scent, and one worn by Princess Diana on the biggest day of her life, it's fairly reasonably priced.
